ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION
Though many aspects of your eligibility may conform to certain specific criteria, the residents sought by the Phelps Family Medicine Residency Program and the ones who stand to gain the most from this 3-year program are very special individuals indeed. SALARY & BENEFITS
We have designed a superb salary and benefits package that meets or exceeds any in the state of New York, with a base salary starting at $60,000 for first year residents. Our goal to help you thrive professionally and personally in this program.

You may have heard of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but until you’ve spent time in this community, it’s difficult to imagine the exquisite tapestry of sights, sounds, tastes and smells you’ll find just about everywhere you set foot along this picturesque part of the Hudson River Valley.
ZUCKER SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AT HOFSTRA/NORTHWELL
Located in Hempstead, NY, and founded in 2008, our academic sponsor was built upon the strong clinical and graduate medical education programs of Northwell Health and the robust research and academic programs of Hofstra University and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research at Northwell Health. The School of Medicine, in a culture of community, scholarship and innovation, is dedicated to inspiring diverse, promising students to lead and transform medicine for the betterment of humanity.
Phelps Hospital is the primary clinical site for the family medicine residency program. Phelps is a 238-bed acute care community hospital located in Sleepy Hollow, New York, offering its community one of the most comprehensive ranges of hospital programs and services in Westchester County. Phelps is a member of Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York State.
OPEN DOOR FAMILY MEDICAL CENTERS
When it comes to family medicine, Open Door Family Medical Centers is a model for many of the most humane, effective and efficient methods of patient care available today. Our residents train in Open Door’s Sleepy Hollow site.
Open Door was the 2010 winner of the HIMSS Davies Award for innovative use of health information technology and received the highest Recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
